FORMER ROYAL OAK COMMISSIONER FILES FOIA
A former Royal Oak commissioner, David Richards, has filed a Freedom of Information Act asking Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson to produce communications related to the redistricting bill recently signed into law by Governor Snyder.
Mr. Richards is a plaintiff in the lawsuit challenging the redistricting law and asks for electronic and hard copy communications that include the word "redistricting" or "redistrict" between Patterson, the county clerk, Republican commissioners on the board and the county's GOP chair, lobbyists and state Rep. Bradford Jacobsen who proposed the bill.
