SILENT AUCTION POSTPONED TO MARCH 25th MEETING
SUPPORT OUR TROOPS!
CONTRIBUTE TO OUR SILENT AUCTION!!
The BRWC is planning a Silent Auction for our March 25th General Meeting. The proceeds will be used to pay the mailing costs of packages prepared at our 2010 “Packing Party” for our troops. As you know, postal costs are expensive. This year, we spent over $1,500 to mail packages to our troops. You can help by donating items to be auctioned – the sort of items that you would be tempted to buy. To donate, please call Joan Grindel, 248-661-1928, by March 18th as she will be working out the selection for the auction. NOTE: SPECIAL AUCTION ITEM: The Heathers Club of Bloomfield Hills has generously donated a Golf Membership to the BRWC. It is a weekday membership (tee off any weekday before 5 PM) for one person, and is valid for one year. (You are responsible for all green and cart fees.) Two complimentary cart rentals are included. You also will have full use of the dining facility. If you are a golfer, this would be a rare opportunity to access a championship golf course or present a perfect gift for a golfer you know!
Please help us support the troops by donating an item to our Silent Auction. THANKS!
CLIPPING COUPONS FOR TROOPS
You can support our troops and their families stationed overseas by clipping coupons. Our military families are limited to doing their shopping for groceries and household items at the Commissaries and Post Exchanges, where prices are much more expensive than you will find in our stores in the U.S. Please clip and save manufacturers’ coupons only in the following categories:
- Food Products (including beverages)
- Health and Beauty Items (soaps, lotions, medications, hygiene items, etc.)
- Baby Items (including diapers, wipes, baby foods and formulas)
- Pet Items
- Non-Food (including household cleaning products, and anything else that doesn't fall into any of the other categories)
The Commissaries and Post Exchanges allow the use of expired manufacturer's coupons so you can also save coupons that are close to expiring or have recently expired.
We will collect your coupons at our February and March meetings and will mail them for our entire group. This is another way to show our appreciation to our troops.
Thanks for your participation!
