BRWC at The Policy Circle Leadership Summit

The Policy Circle Leadership Summit held in Chicago, IL on November 10, 2017 was a huge success. Sold out attendance included Policy Circle founders and leaders from 82 circle groups in 21 states and employees of think tanks, activist organizations, and supporting organizations. Among those in attendance from Michigan were Bloomfield Republic Women's Club member Deb O’Hagan and Oakland Country Republican Party Chair Theresa Mungioli.

The Policy Circle is like a book club for public policy. “It is about exploring ways that you and your circle can expand your comfort zone and move your community forward with policies that foster human creativity in a free-market economy.”

The conference included topics on leadership, sharing your opinions, facilitating civil dialogue, leaving your mark, turning passion into action, embracing your potential, and building a team. It concluded with an open forum with the circle leaders sharing best practices followed by a networking cocktail reception and a tour of the Cubs locker room.

The first circle started here in Oakland County this past spring because of friends of Pam Williams gathering and wanting to do something to continue Pam’s legacy of education and engagement in our communities. The Policy Circle will be an important part of League of Our Own. Stay tuned for more on this new organization!
